Packing List
Natural fiber clothing in earthtone colors and comfortable walking shoes are heavily recommended. Trousers and a jacket suitable for the cool early morning and evenings will be necessary. A laundry service is provided while in camp, so you may limit the sets of clothing. A hat, sunblock and sunglasses are adviseable. Remember your binoculars, bird and animal indentification books, camera and plenty of film or digital space. Please bring your own personal toiletries and any needed medications.
Botswana Health and Safety
Botswana is a high-risk malaria area. Consult your doctor or travel clinic and take any necessary precautions.
Currency and Spending Money
The local currency in South Africa is the Rand and in Botswana the Pula. US dollars and South African Rand is only widely accepted in Botswana. Certain locations will accept credit cards. Remember to inform your bank that you will be traveling to a foreign country. Foreign currency can be applied for well in advance at your bank. It is best to purchase currency at your port of entry into South Africa or Botswana. You should make provisions for all accommodations and travel expenses prior and after your safari. It is customary to tip staff in recognition of good service after you stay.
Customs, Visas and Insurance
A valid passport is required in both countries. Visas are not required from European Unions or US Citizens. Customs are cleared at your port of entry into the country. It is adviseable to insure personal effects and luggage and make provisions for trip cancellation and medical evacuations.

• Airline cost, air charter and road transfers
• Accommodation prior and after commence of hunt
• Firearm and ammunition
• Dip, pack and shipping of trophies
• Trophy fee on all animals, killed or wounded and lost
• Alcoholic beverages such as whiskey and spirits
• Personal expenditure such as gratuities and insurance
